Comments Requested

Before deciding this is too long or boring to read, I encourage you to go to the bottom to look at the PDF’s of scientific research. See if any of the Abstracts resonate with the future you hold for yourself, your children, your grandchildren, and your great-grandchildren. If you find anything of interest, you can come back to the top, start reading, and perhaps send comments to HHS and FCC.

The rapid global rollout of 5G technology which began in 2019 is driven by faster data transmission.  Other countries have adopted exposure limits far below those in the United States and Canada.  The Environmental Health Trust (EHT) has long highlighted peer-reviewed evidence that wireless radiation can harm children, adults, plants, and animals.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the U.S. government responsible for regulating communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable

In a historic filing last week, the FCC essentially makes clear that it only began responding to the D.C. Circuit Court’s 2021 remand in Environmental Health Trust v. FCC because it was forced to do so.  EHT maintains that the FCC’s unreasonable delays prolong preventable harm, and that stronger oversight would encourage industry to compete on safety, advancing research, and innovation.  EHT has already provided the FCC with thousands of pages of research. The court sided with the EHT in 2021, and even more evidence has emerged in the last five years. (the court decided in our favor in 2021)

The FCC’s outmoded 1996 radiofrequency wireless radiation exposure limits remain in force. EHT’s mandamus petition before the court has not yet been granted or denied.

If you have thoughts on this issue, the HHS request for comment has a space to compose comments directly on the website. You will be able to copy the comment you write to the FCC and paste it directly into the HHS form to share with both agencies. Comments on this notice opened September 21, 2026 and must be received no later than October 21, 2026.
